Thats right, the 1st Annual Intergalactic Short Course Championships at CRC Raceway in Rome, NY.
CRC has been hosting some of the biggest Nitro off-road races in the Northeast for quite some time. Well we have decided to use all of our experience in bringing top notch Nitro events to the region, and focus that into hosting an ALL ELECTRIC event. That's right, this will be CRC's first ever all electric event on the outdoor dirt track.
Though the race is named "Short Course", this is really an all inclusive electric event. Classes will be offered for 2wd and 4wd buggies, stadium trucks, and even 8th E-buggies. There is a class for everybody.
CRC's track and facility are top notch, offering a racer all the ammenities they could need for a weekend of racing, and more.

Over 5000 watts of lighting for when the races run into the evening hours.
Well stocked and air conditioned hobby shop
Ample space for camping trailers
Plenty of parking

Ok everybody, a little more info on the race:
Entry Fee will be $30 first class / $20 second class / $60 as many classes as you want.
Track closed Friday. (Hobby Store will still be open 11 am - 4 pm, but NO open track)
Practice Saturday 8am - 1:30pm. Drivers meeting 1:45. Qualifying starts at 2pm sharp.
Planned Schedule - 3 quals Saturday, 1 more and mains Sunday. 5-min qualifiers. Qual points best 2 of 4.
10 minute A mains for all but 4wd SC which is 8 minutes. B's and lower are all 6 minutes in all classes.
If we are running ahead of schedule, and can complete the 4th round on Saturday evening, we will. This will allow everyone to get an earlier start home on Sunday.
If we are waaay ahead of schedule and can even complete the mains on Saturday night, then we will do that too. The call will have to be made Saturday after we get an idea of how many entries there are and how long each round will take.
Pre-entry is not required. Sign-ups will close at 1:30. Preliminary heat board will be posted before the drivers meeting. If there are changes that need to be made, final heat board will be tweaked and posted after the drivers meeting so we can start right at 2pm.
if anybody has any questions on this or anything else pertaining to this race weekend, let us know here, or on FB, or call the shop. Lots of ways to get ahold of us!
