Welcome to 2010 and the dead of winter here in the Northeast U.S.A.. We have been quite busy this fall and winter bringing you the multi-champion CRC Gen-XL and Gen-X 10. Even so, we have been busy working on new items over the past few months.

All new CRC 1s Lipo Racing Battery

CRC enters the battery wars with the new Maxxcell line of lithium polymer (Lipo) racing batteries, the red pack is here. Featuring a low profile terminal design, convenient 4 mm bullet tubes, low internal resistance (IR), high average discharge voltage and long runtime, the Maxxcell lipo is a proven winner. The CRC Maxxcell line of batteries deliver the performance to win. The 50C peak discharge rates deliver the punch, a true 5200 mah delivers the runtime. Don't believe our numbers, use a GFX to check out our 35 amp numbers against any other and you will see the CRC red pack has what it takes to win.

The 4mm tubes and bullet connectors closely replicate the solder tabs most every racer has used for years. Why suddenly have all the racing batteries gone a wired connector? It is time to ditch the connector and install a lightweight high-performance pack with high quality pure copper bullet tubes. Wired batteries with connectors are inconvenient and difficult to use as each manufacturer uses different placement, wire lengths and connectors. Plus, space is tight in most 1:12th road racers, all that wire and connector bulk takes up valuable room. With the bullet connectors, the wiring is much cleaner, efficient and lightweight.

This is not a re-badged battery from another source, built to win from the ground up, the CRC 3.7v lipo is focused on winning races anywhere a single cell pack is used. The pack is ROAR legal and is built to fall within the rules of IFMAR, EFRA, BRCA and ROAR.

Pictured below is the 1s 3.7v Maxxcell pack (processed by Power Push) which has already won the Cleveland U.S. Indoor Championships in November 2009.

New Parts for the CRC Battle Axe 2.0 Oval Car.

Just in time for the Snowbirds!

The CRC 1:10th oval racer, the Battle Axe 2.0 has won a number of large events in the short time it has been available. First, the 2009 Snowbirds, then the Jeff Sears race followed by track records and wins at other large events in the Northeast. Most recently, Tom Firsching took his Battle Axe to a win in the highly competitive 10.5 class at the 14th New Year Dash race in upstate, NY. Much like the entire stable of CRC race cars, we continue to develop and improve the Battle Axe. Available now is a left offset motor pod conversion that pushes the motors to the left for better cornering speeds. The parts are available in a couple different conversion "kits" and separately as well. The rear top plate (1964) has been "tweaked" to allow easier use of CRC's new Encore Shocks (3290).

The Final Cut - Tire Truer Cutting Bit

Finally, a tire truer cutting bit that leaves a perfect finish on the tire. The Final Cut tire truing bit is a super hard tungsten carbide cutting bit with sharp, super hard teeth. The Final Cut remains sharp cut after cut. The finish on the foam after truing is absolutely smooth and ready to race. Because it cuts so cleanly and aggressively, the Final Cut truing bit reduces the load on the truer motor by removing material rather than pushing it around.

New is our soft long wear pink front. Pink is 30 shore R4 from Japan. The R4 line of rubber is very durable and long wear. The soft 30 shore provides extreme high grip. This tire is best for low grip carpet and asphalt surfaces. Beware when running on High grip, this soft rubber will steer like mad, putting even the finest drovers on their toes. Great also for the left front on a 1:12th oval car. If you are looking for something close to Magenta fronts but a little different, try the new pink fronts from CRC!
