Pro Series track layout spy shots

Pro Series track layout spy shots

Despite tons of rain, we were able to get the change totally changed for the R/C Pro Series. We have not really had a chance to even try the track, we may make a few tweaks before the big event.

June 2013 – The new layout at CRC Raceway – possible minor tweaks before the Pro Series.

We leveled the track flat and built a new layout to be fair for the
Pro Series. No home track advantage. Lots of dirt, diesel and
elbow grease and “Presto”, new layout. Thanks for help from
our locals and hard work from the dedicated CRC staff.

Top offroad driver Billy Fischer from Arizona will bring his factory TLR 8ight machines to central NY to take on the usual cast of characters from the northeast. In addition to Fischer, we typically see a great group of top drivers from the east coast such as Losi’s Anthony Mazzara, Mugen’s Jason Schreffler, 2011 Champ Tom Firsching, Mark Smyka, Mark Calandra, Brian Wynn and many more, just killer competition.
In addition to the PA, CT and Mass drivers, add the very fast western NY drivers and hot shoes from the great white north. Already committed to the event are Canadian Mugen drivers Jay Cristiano as well as the brothers, Derek and Mark Sousa. Speaking of the Sousa’s, fast brothers they are with Derek recently taking 2nd to Adam Drake at the 350 entry Tilsonburg Canadian Offroad Challenge race mid-April 2013. In addition to Derek’s great result, the younger Sousa, Mark, was T.Q. and winner of the largest class at that same event, E-buggy. Another fast Canadian expected to attend is the globetrotting XRay driver from Quebec, Jerome Treignier, as well as a good group from Quebec.

Over the past few years, this annual event has drawn over 200 entries. With CRC Raceway centered around all this talent, this event has turned into an east coast “national” event, a clinic in offroad racing.
